Library Director
Brandon Burge
Brandon grew up in Rock Falls Il. he attended college at Sauk Valley Community College where he studied Criminal Justice. Then he began his career in customer service working in Retail Management. In 2008 Brandon moved to Iowa and eventually settled in Van Horne. In 2015 Brandon suffered a serious medical issue in the form of an aortic aneurysm which changed his life. After a couple years of recuperating he then found a great career opportunity in 2018 at the Blairstown Public Library as a Library Assistant and then eventually Library Director.
Brandon is married to Rachel, and has 2 children Brady and Leila. He loves spending time with the family, serving as a scoutmaster for troop 46 here in Blairstown, going to concerts and sporting events, fishing, camping, and serving the Blairstown community.
