INTERLIBRARY LOAN POLICY
The Blairstown Public Library participates in the Interlibrary Loan Program (ILL) through the State Library of Iowa’s open access program. The library will follow the terms of agreement set by the State Library of Iowa.
Any patron with a valid, non-delinquent Blairstown Public Library account may request an interlibrary loan through the Blairstown Public Library, regardless of where they live. Interlibrary loan requests can be made in person, by phone or by email to the Library Director.
Patrons will be charged $2.00 for each interlibrary loan transaction to help cover the cost of postage to mail materials. The fee is due when the patron picks up the requested interlibrary loan material. Patrons will be responsible for any interlibrary loan materials in their possession. If the item is lost or damaged, the patron will be charged the replacement cost for the item as per the lending library’s request.
